Robotic cell with vertical tower buffer

After six months of planning, development and testing, Brentech is ready to deliver five robotic cells with vertical tower buffers to its customers. According to the planning at the beginning of the project, the delivery of ten machines is expected by the end of 2022 and at least another 10 units for 2023.

The objective of this robotic system was very clear: to automate the process of loading semi-finished products and unloading finished products from numerical control machines.

The system designed by Brentech is composed of a six-degree-of-freedom anthropomorphic robot with two or four grippers, a vertical lifting tower and a series of trolleys with trays and templates for the positioning of the parts to be processed.

The trolley can accommodate 24 trays with dimensions up to 1300×800 mm. and load capacity up to 50 kg each. It should be noted that these sizes can be modified in relation to customer needs.

The peculiar characteristics of this robotic cell are:

  • compact and widely adaptable solution to customer needs;
  • simple and intuitive interface making it easier the exchange of information between the operator and the robotic system;
  • high flexibility, in fact the system can be quickly adapted to different CNC machines;
  • ready to use system: easy to reposition, connect and ready for remote assistance;
  • complies with the requirements for Industry 4.0 benefits

By this project, Brentech offer their customers a highly customizable product, capable of increasing the degree of automation, granting several hours of unattended production.
